After a year of reading reviews I ordered two of these car seats for my twin girls who are 15 months old and 22 pounds. I am using it in rear facing position up until they are two, so I have not used it forward facing position yet. Upon taking them out of the box, my girls immediately climbed into their seats and enjoyed playing in them for two days before I finally got my husband to install it. I could tell that they were very comfortable and would indeed be able to grow well in them. My friends four year old even hopped in and she had plenty of room to grow, so I can tell that it will indeed last as long as it says (up to 65 lbs). We found the directions to be very simple and within 20 minutes or so had their old seats removed & the new ones installed safely. It was incredibly easy to adjust the height and tightness of the straps, even while installed. First off, let me say that we love this seat. We purchased it for our baby girl at Christmas time based on reviews found on other True Fit Premiere cat seats. It's adorable, comfortable, user friendly, and safe for my ten month old (17 lbs, tiny build). It's well-rated for safety, and it is a seat that will easily grow with your child, which are the things that drew me to this particular car seat.

It's also BULKY. With the removable headrest off, we can rear face this seat in the center row of our Ford Taurus X. The front passenger seat must be fully forward in order to make it fit. Once she is tall enough that we need to add the removeable headrest, we will have to figure out a different arrangement in our vehicle. (We have three kids in car seats, so there's not a lot of room for rearranging!) There's no way it will rear face with the headrest attached. These car seats were a gift for my infant twin girls, but unfortunately they do not fit in my car and cannot be returned after 45 days. They are the biggest car seats I have ever seen (I would call them the over-stuffed lazy boy of car seats), and I cannot use them as I need to fit 3 car seats. They do fit in my car in the forward facing position, but they leave almost no leg room as the car seat actually hangs over the backseat. They do not fit in the rear facing position unless I pull the front seats all the way forward, but then my 6'2" husband doesn't fit.

This seat is advertised for 5 to 65 lbs, but most people would rather use an infant carrier for babies up to 20 lbs. I have a 4 year old daughter who is 45 lbs, and I tried to see if she could fit in the car seat. At the largest setting it fit her without a coat on, but did not fit her when she had her winter coat on.
